Now before I went in to her salon I had gotten a keratin done at unnamed salon on the 2nd of January ( a month before my initial appointment) and was well aware of how healthy my hair was since I had been keeping it natural and taking care of it for more than 5 months prior to the procedure because as you know hair along with eyebrows MAKE the face, my hair was healthy, strong and shining before I made the mistake of trusting this person with a hair she is unable to work in. If you are not within the 1A-2B hair type please spare yourself the bad experience of visiting this or the Staten Island salon as I can assure you by the time that they are done with you there will be no hair left on your head specially if you leave it on for more than two months (she had said I could have the extensions for up to a year before having to take them off again. So, I paid $2, 142.25 for Indian slight wave 2N (12) bundles and $500 for maintenance (which never happened because I took the hair off instead of carrying out the maintenance since the damage to my hair was starting to be noticeable) the day before the consultation I washed my hair at home and used my regular hair routine products and then I got it blow dried and flat ironed so that it would be ready for her to see it and tell me a date to get them installed came the day of my appointment I went in for the initial consultation she sees my hair as soon as I take it out of the ponytail and her words were “honey you have A LOT of hair” and made a frustration face and sighed which I am well aware of and I told her that I kew hence why I was choosing her to work on my hair extensions because I had been following her for a while, we started talking about a possible date to get the hair done and she was mentioning something along the lines of a month before she could do my hair and the reason why she was trying to make the appointment so far was because and I quote “I’m just going in for surgery to remove this little extra belly fat that’s been killing me for a while and since my sister is getting her boobs done she told me to come with her and I said why not and thought it’s a great opportunity to also take care of this so I won’t be in for the next few weeks as I am getting surgery on the 25th and don’t have availability until further notice” so I asked her what could she do as I had an important upcoming trip and would be out of country for some time as well so the date she was offering me didn’t work and I expressed to her so she was quiet for a few minutes, she looked around and started looking for some hair asked me if I wanted to keep that color or that if I wanted to change it to something darker she had hair available from another work she had completed recently and that she wads able to accomodate me for that sesame day, dye my hair and install the extensions then and there if I wanted before she left for surgery and I agreed because again THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL WHO KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING AND I AM TRUSTING THAT SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS DOING. Little did I know I was embarking on my hair loss journey sponsored by Olivia Christensen Salon’s. On the 14th of February after the hair had been tangling in the back towards the end for days and I had already followed all the steps she had recommended as well as using her hair products and nothing else on my hair I finally decided to reach out to her and make her aware of the situation because it was starting to mess with my self-esteem and I was becoming desperate as I didn’t know what else to do to fix this, I made her aware of the situation and her reply was (and you will see it on the screenshots I am posting below) “how often are you brushing it? I’m wearing the same hair as you only difference is mine is much longer and I don’t have any knots” which wasn’t the reply I was looking for to the hair getting tangled even after I had just finished brushing it with the super looper hair brush that she had told me since day 1 that I needed to get two take care of the hair, when a customer reaches out about a concern on a product that you provided they are not looking for you to tell them that THEY aren’t having the same issue or just being dismissed in such any unprofessional way I had no answer as this was on Valentine’s day I had ton wash my hair homeland sit down for two hours to untangle the hair little bye little and then went to the salon to get it blow dried and curled which was another mission and the girl that did my hair had a hard time as well as she would untangle the hair ad it would tangle right bank up, it had friction and was starting to look all split at the ends. On the 17th I texted her back again regarding the same issue as literally the day after valentines the hair was back to square one with knots that were bigger and there was just no brush that could get into it I expressed my frustration and told her that if she couldn’t fix this that I was interested in receiving a PARTIAL refund and that I was having to untangle the hair 3
